Patrols Reports

The Patrols module in TransparentEarth allows you to generate six (6) different reports:

  1. Patrols Monthly Report
  2. Patrols Full Report
  3. Open Observations Report
  4. Patrols Exceedance Report
  5. Patrols Frequency Report
  6. Patrols Late Confirmations Report

 

All six reports utilize the similar dialog box, query functions, and results grid.

Working With Patrols Reports

  1. Launch TransparentEarth by opening a Chrome web browser and entering your TransparentEarth URL.
  2. Log into TransparentEarth by entering your User ID and Password, and click Sign In.
  3. From the left side dashboard, click Patrols
    The Patrols module displays six (6) reports:

  4. Click the report title to open the report query dialog box.
  5. Enter the query parameters in the upper part of the query dialog box, then click View (lower right corner):

    The results display in the bottom half of the dialog box.

 

Working With Query Results

  1. For each column, you have the ability to sort ascending, sort descending, or turn off sort. 
    Click the arrow next to a column title to sort ascending, descending or disable sort: 
    a.Up = Ascending

    c.Blank = Off

  2. To show more or fewer records within the dialog box, select the number of records to display in the "Show XX Entries" dialog box.

  3. Or, to move from page to page of results, click the Previous/Next buttons, or click the page number.
  4. To re-query, change the parameters in the upper half of the dialog box, then click View again at the bottom right corner.
  5. Each column allows you to filter for records that contain specific values. 
    a.Click the filter button next to the applicable column title:

 

Exporting Report Results

  1. Once you have the query and results you are looking for, to export the results, click the Export to Excel or Export to PDF button.

  2. The XLS or PDF file will download and display at the bottom of your browser window:

  3. Click the XLS or the PDF file and the file will open in Excel, or in a browser window for the PDF.
  4. To save the file to your local drive, click File, then Save As...
  5. Enter a file Name, then click Save

    The file will be saved in the location you selected.
  6. Navigate to that location and double-click the file to open it.

 

Generating Patrols Monthly Report

The Patrols Monthly Report allows you to query for Patrols based on Region, Day of the week, Report Month, and Report Year.

  1. Region: Select the applicable Region from the drop-down list.
  2. Day of the Week: Select the day of the week from the drop-down list. 
    Allows you to select ALL days of the week.
  3. Report Month: Select the applicable Month form the drop-down list. 
    Only allows you to select one month.
  4. Report Year: Select the applicable Year from the drop-down list.
  5. Click View
    The reports display in the results grid:

    a.Results display, by region, week, month, year. 
    b.Letters in the Year columns describe the results: 
    i.X = No Observations 
    ii.O = Observations exist with no Confirmation logs 
    iii.A = Observations exist with closed Confirmation Logs 
    iv.B = Observations exist with Confirmation Logs requiring additional monitoring 
    v.P = Segment was only partially patrolled 
    c.A Section result can contain multiple descriptions. For example: 
    XPA = No Observations, the segment was only partially patrolled, and an Observation was found but closed with a Confirmation Log. 
    d.When you are done creating the report you want to see, you can click Export to export the results in CSV or PDF format. 
    e.Click the Close button to close the report dialog box.

 

Generating Patrols Full Report

The Patrols Full Report allows you to submit a broad or specific query on all Patrol Reports, depending upon what you are looking for.

  1. Region: Select the applicable Region from the drop-down list.
  2. Select ROW Segment: Select the applicable segment from the drop-down list. 
    You can only select one segment at a time.
  3. Select Date Range: Select the date range in which you want to report. 
    You can leave the From Date field empty to submit a broad query.
  4. Limit Results to Open Observations: Only select this check box if you want the results to only show items with Open Observations.
  5. Click the View button (lower right corner). 
    Results display in the results grid. 
    Any time you change the parameters of the query, you will need to click the View button to refresh the results grid.
  6. Once you have generated the report you are looking for, click the Export button to export the results into CSV or PDF format.
  7. Click the Close button to close the report window. 
     

Generating Patrols Exceedance Report

The Patrols Exceedance report allows you to submit a broad or specific query to return a list of Patrols by Segments that exceed the 21 day limit.  

  1. Region: Select the applicable Region from the drop-down list.
  2. Select ROW Segment: Select the applicable segment from the drop-down list. 
    You can only select one segment at a time.
  3. Select Date Range: Select the date range in which you want to report. 
    You can leave the From Date field empty to submit a broad query.
  4. Click the check box next to "Limit Results to Patrols that Exceed the 21 day limit" check box IF you want to view only the entries that exceed the limit.
  5. Click the View button (lower right corner). 
    Results display in the results grid. 
    Any time you change the parameters of the query, you will need to click the View button to refresh the results grid.
  6. Once you have generated the report you are looking for, click the Export button to export the results into CSV or PDF format.
  7. Click the Close button to close the report window.

 

Generating Patrols Frequency Report

The Patrols Frequency report allows you to submit a broad or specific query to return a list of Patrols by Segment that were flown less than 26 times in the last year.

  1. Region: select the applicable Region from the drop-down list.
  2. Select ROW Segment: Select the applicable segment from the drop-down list. 
    You can only select one segment at a time.
  3. Select Date Range: select the date range in which you want to report. 
    You can leave the From Date field empty to submit a broad query.
  4. Click the check box next to "Limit Results to Patrols that Exceed the 21 day limit" check box IF you want to view only the entries that exceeded the limit.
  5. Click the View button (lower right corner). 
    Results display in the results grid. 
    Any time you change the parameters of the query, you will need to click the View button to refresh the results grid.
  6. Once you have generated the report you are looking for, click the Export button to export the results into CSV or PDF format.
  7. Click the Close button to close the report window.

 

Generating Patrols Late Confirmation Report

The Patrols Late Confirmation report allows you to submit a broad or specific query to return a list of Patrols by Segment where the Observation did not have a Confirmation created within two (2) days.

  1. Region: select the applicable Region from the drop-down list.
  2. Select ROW Segment: Select the applicable segment from the drop-down list. 
    You can only select one segment at a time.
  3. Select Date Range: select the date range in which you want to report. 
    You can leave the From Date field empty to submit a broad query.
  4. Click the check box next to "Limit Results to Patrols that Exceed the 21 day limit" check box IF you want to view only the entries that exceeded the limit.
  5. Click the View button (lower right corner). 
    Results display in the results grid. 
    Any time you change the parameters of the query, you will need to click the View button to refresh the results grid.
  6. Once you have generated the report you are looking for, click the Export button to export the results into CSV or PDF format.
  7. Click the Close button to close the report window.
