Land - Land Company and Agent Tract Assignment

Overview

The Land Module Administrator or a designate will assign tracts to the Land Company that is tasked with performing the stakeholder consultations and acquiring the parcels on behalf of Enbridge. The Land Companies in turn will have an Administrator that will assign tracts to their Land Agents.

 

Steps to Complete a Land Company to Tract Assignments

Listed below are the steps required to create and/or modify the Land Company to Tract Assignments. The same basic process is used to assign the Land Agents to the tracts.

1.Launch TransparentEarth. 
TransparentEarth launches and the login screen appears.  

2.Enter the User ID and Password and then click Sign In. 
TransparentEarth opens providing the user a view of the map.

3.Select the Land Projects menu item in the dashboard on the left of the screen. 
The menu opens allowing the user to view the available choices.

4.Select the Land Project Assignment menu item. 
The user is presented with the Land Project Assignment Workbench in the centre of the map display.

5.Select the Assignment Type, Project, and Spread, and click on the Search button. 
The system presents the user a list of the tracts that meet the selection criteria. 

6.Scroll down the screen and choose 'Select All Records or, select the individual tracts and use the Select Assignee menu to choose the Land Company.  Then, click the Assign'Project Tracts button. 
The user is presented with a message stating assignment successful.

7.Select OK to close the message and click on the Save button to initiate the save. 
The user is able to make the desired assignment of the selected tracts to be assigned to a Land Company.

8.Confirm the Update Land Project Assignment message by clicking Yes in the dialogue box. 
The user is able to view the new assignment.

9.Scroll to the top of the Land Company Tract Assignment Workbench to make more assignments, or select the Close button to return to the TransparentEarth Dashboard. 
When finished select the Close button. 
The user is returned to the TransparentEarth Dashboard.

 

Steps to Complete Land Agent to Tract Assignments

Listed below are the steps required to create and/or modify the assignments of Tracts to Land Agents. Normally, these assignments are made by a user that works for the Land Company and is given authorizations to enable them to perform these functions, and others, such as running specific reports that they may need to view to monitor their progress.

1.From the Land module, select the Assign Tracts to Land Agent Workbench menu item. 
The user is presented with the Land Agent Tract Assignment Workbench in the center of the map display.

2.Select the Project and Construction Spread, then click the Search button. 
The System presents the user a list of the tracts that meet the selection criteria. 

3.Scroll down the screen and click Select All, 
Or, select the individual tracts, use the Select Land Agent menu to select the Land Agent and then click on the Assign Project Tract button. 
The user is presented with a message stating assignment successful.

4.Select OK to close the message and click on the Close button to initiate the save. 
The user is able to make the desired assignment of the selected tracts to the chosen Land Agent.

5.Select the Close button to return to the TransparentEarth Dashboard. 
The user is returned to the TransparentEarth Dashboard.
